How nCino Gives Back through nVolve
April 26, 2022

At nCino, two of our core values are “Do the Right Thing” and “Make Someone’s Day.” nVolve, nCino’s employee-led and company-supported volunteer organization, is one important way we live up to those values.

nVolve sponsors and supports projects, programs and organizations across many of the cities in which our offices are located, including Wilmington NC, Salt Lake City, London, Sydney, and Toronto. Committed to community service, nVolve strives to make a difference by mobilizing nCino employees when and where there is a need.

To support our employees efforts and make volunteering as easy and accessible as possible, every nCino employee receives two paid volunteer days per year, which they can spend volunteering with the organizations of their choice. Employees can pursue activities on their own, sign up with an nCino affinity group already sponsoring an event, select existing opportunities through nVolve or set up a volunteer day with their teams.

nCino also offers donation matching up to a certain amount per employee per year, encouraging employees to support causes that are important to them. Through these various opportunities, we hope to both “Make Someone’s Day” and “Do the Right Thing” at the same time.

In Wilmington, North Carolina, popular recurring volunteer activities include cleaning up litter at Wrightsville Beach, gardening at Novant Health Medical Center Community Garden, and sorting food at the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina. nVolve also supports a group of local students known as the Young Scientist Academy, who perform scientific research and experiments around climate change, urban sustainability, and public health in Wilmington. Employees have also recently supported Habitat for Humanity, the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington (GLOW), The Honor Foundation, Wilmington Area Rebuilding Minstiry (WARM), Brigade Boys and Girls Club, and Good Shepherd.

The Salt Lake City nCino employees frequently volunteer at the Utah Food Bank.

nCino employees with the Women nTech affinity group in the UK office recently supported United Way UK working with young women to develop key skills like interviewing and applying for jobs.

And in Australia, our APAC team has been working with non-profit organization Our Big Kitchen to build, implement, and deliver a new General Enquiry workflow and Email Management solution by leveraging the Salesforce Not for Profit Success bundle. Additionally, the APAC Customer Success team has provided pro bono support to their resource efforts, and the APAC team has donated over $4,000 through their online cooking classes with Our Big Kitchen. To support R U OK? Day, nCino’s APAC team brought to life our core value “Have Fun” by creating a kick up challenge to connect the team, encourage everyone to get outdoors, and raise money for a great cause. nCino employees helped organize materials and building casings for windows and door frames through Habitat for Humanity.

Not only does giving back provide a sense of belonging, it also promotes a true sense of community within nCino. The positive interactions borne out of community involvement, whether in person or online, strengthen and expand our work relationships, which in turn helps drive innovation, collaboration and success.

“nCino believes in the importance of having a presence in its communities,” says Senior Release Manager Margaret Medon, who helps organize weekly cleanups at Wrightsville Beach. “We want to do more than give back monetarily—we want to demonstrate to our communities that we care about where we live and are willing to donate our time and talents, too.”
